Welcome to Select Southern Pottery

Select Southern Pottery is a business that evolved from loving and collecting North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia folk pottery.

While I can appreciate many studio potter's work, I am drawn to those potters that still dig their own clay, use family forms and glazes, and fire in traditional wood kilns. Many of these artists are second, third, fourth and higher generation potters living in areas of the South that have been producing pottery since the Revolutionary War.

Face jugs are my greatest love though I carry many other new and vintage pieces. I have works by such living and dead Georgia artists as the Meaders, the Crockers, Steve Turpin, Roger Corn; from the Seagrove area, Billy Ray Hussey, the Owens, the late Charlie Moore, Larry Moore; from the Catawba Valley of NC, the late BB Craig, Charlie Lisk, Joe Reinhardt, Walter Fleming, Steve Abee; from the Sanford area, AV Smith, Sandy Cole, and Kevin Brown, just to name a few.

I am also interested in buying, trading, and having such work consigned to me for sale. And I would love to just talk about it too!!!!!
